Act No. 5 of March 1, 1956 as amended, allocated funds to the Puerto Rican Athenaeum for their operational expenses.

Puerto Rican Athenaeum

Program Description

It is the oldest cultural entity in Puerto Rico. Since its founding, it has endeavored to cultivate and develop literature and arts. The Puerto Rican Athenaeum's activities, its valuable library and the publications it receives from abroad, are used by the general public, specifically by students.


FISCAL YEAR 2011-2012 ADOPTED BUDGET

The adopted consolidated budget for Fiscal Year 2011-2012 is $500,000 in Special Appropriations. These funds are to be used for the Puerto Rican Athenaeum's operational expenses.
